Instagram, a photo-sharing app owned by Meta, is said to be closing down its messaging service Threads before the end of the year. Thread is a new app, similar to Snapchat, that was released in 2019. Instagram will require users of its threads to download the original Instagram app as a result of this upgrade.
According to sources, Instagram began requesting current threads users to switch to the Original Instagram app on November 23 through an in-app message. There is currently no information as to why this software is being discontinued. The following users have yet to get the notice: Let us inform you that reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi was the first to provide notices concerning thread shutdowns. He showed a screenshot saying that Instagram users have not yet started showing notices.

Instagram launched Threads, a separate app for Android and iOS, in October 2019. The programme, which was essentially identical to Snapchat, was created to allow users to share photographs and videos with their contacts. Following that, threads were given the ability to search for and contact anybody on Instagram, putting it one step ahead of Snapchat.

In addition to shutting down threads, Instagram, which is owned by Meta, has been testing a new feature. Users will soon be able to add music to their feed postings, according to the app.
