Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) India has announced that it has started exporting the Make-in-India Jeep Compass under its Export Strategy. The automobile manufacturer has sent the first batch of 600 units of Jeep Compass to Australia and Japan from the Bombay Port Trust facility. The SUV built at Rajnandgaon plant has more than 65 percent local content and will be exported to other international markets later on. 

FCA India President and Managing Director Kevin Flin said, "Since the announcement of the price, Jeep Compass has received an excellent response in India. This momentum is continuously made and people's interest is increasing. There is a regular compass on the streets of India. Since July, we have added five more sales and service outlets, which has increased our reach to 55 now. We will reach 60 outlets by the end of this year. " 

He said FCA India has added five more sales and service outlets since July taking its distribution reach to 55 and by the year-end, the number of these outlets is expected reach 60. "We are looking forward to a strong 2018 when production will be at full pace delivering on target domestic and export numbers," he added. Soon after the India price announcement, FCA had rolled out the 2-liter diesel 4x2 and 4x4 versions of the Jeep Compass.
