In term of your health, the foods you consume react chemically with your blood type. If you follow a diet that is designed for your blood type, your body will digest food more efficiently. You will have more energy, lose weight, and help prevent disease. So, lets have a look on diet tips according to your blood type.

Type A

People who have blood type A are steered toward a vegetarian diet, that includes grains, soy proteins, and vegetables. Also, these people are encouraged to eat fresh and organic in as natural a state as possible. People who have type A blood, should follow a mostly vegetarian diet, due to the evolutionary scale. Type A blood appeared at about the time early people was moving to a more settled, agrarian lifestyle, and consuming a plant-based diet.

Food recommended to Eat: Fruits, vegetables, beans, grains, nuts, legumes, and seeds.

Foods recommended to Avoid: Poultry, meat, dairy products, eggs, and limited amount of fish.

Type B

Type B blood type peoples are special, these people with Type B blood types are probably the most malleable of all of the groups, as they have the ability to thrive in changeable conditions. Unlike blood types O and A, which are at opposite ends of every spectrum, Type B’s position is fluid, living best on a balanced omnivore diet, that contains both plenty of plant-based and animal foods.

Food recommended to Eat: Beef, lamb, salmon, turkey, dairy, cod, green leafy vegetables, olive oil, and some fruit.

Foods recommended to Avoid: Wheat, corn, lentils, buckwheat, peanuts, tomatoes, and sesame seeds.

Type AB

The type AB blood is rare, that is found in less than 5% of the population, and is the newest of all the blood types. Type AB came from the intermingling of Type A with Type B, thus resulting in a blood group that shares both the benefits and challenges of both Type A and B blood. It is also recommended that type AB should also avoid alcohol and caffeine, especially in stressful situations, and they should eat smaller, but more frequent meals.

Foods recommended to Eat: Seafood, tofu, green vegetables, dairy, alkaline fruits and cultured dairy.

Foods recommended to Avoid: Chicken, smoked or cured meats, corn and shellfish.

Type O

Type O blood type peoples are universal donor and people with Type O’s thrive on animal protein, intense physical exercise, and efficiently digest and metabolize meat becuase of their high stomach-acid content. This means that when type O’s eat high quality animal proteins, they can ensure smooth functioning of the body, without undue metabolic stress.

Foods recommended to Eat: Lean and chemical-free poultry, meats, fish, alkaline fruits such as plums and berries.

Food recommended to Avoid: Grains, dairy products, vegetables from the Brassica family (cauliflower, cabbage, etc.), nightshade vegetables, legumes, breads, and beans.
