Tell you that the disease is transmitted by a bite of the Aedes mosquito during the day and usually the Zika virus does not cause serious health problems. At the same time, patients infected with this virus are advised to rest as much as they can. It is also being said that if the virus infects pregnant women, it can result in birth defects. The WHO says the Zika virus is a mosquito-borne flavivirus and was first identified among monkeys in Uganda in 1947.
