Bengaluru: MS Ramaiya Hospital will increase the number of beds for corona infected. On Saturday, Deputy CM Ashwathnarayan visited the hospital. Later, the hospital decided to increase the number of beds for Corona positive patients from 340 to 500. The hospital management has also decided to increase the number of ventilators at the request of the minister.

The Deputy CM reviewed the facilities in the hospital with the help of CCTV cameras and also appreciated it. Let us tell you that in Karnataka, the speed of corona with more than five thousand infected continued for the third day on Saturday. In the last 24 hours 5,072 new corona patients were confirmed in the state. At the same time, 2,036 new cases of Corona have been reported in Bengaluru. So far, 90,942 cases of corona infection have been reported in the state. Of these, 33,750 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovery.

A total of 72 corona patients have been killed on Saturday. Thirty of these died in Bangalore. According to the Health Department, total active cases of corona in the state have increased to 55,388 on Saturday. It is a matter of relief that 2,403 corona victims in different districts of the state were discharged from hospital after recovery. At the same time, 686 patients have returned home in Bangalore. The total number of active cases in Bangalore urban district has gone up to 31,882. Let us tell you that 862 people have died due to Coronavirus so far in the city.
