Bhopal: The cabinet meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this, the proposal to close the capital project administration was approved. Now the work of maintenance of the building and road will be handed over to the PWD and the parks to the Forest Department.

While giving the news of the decision of the Cabinet, State Government Spokesperson and Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra said that the Cabinet has approved the proposal to close the Rajdhani Project Administration. At present, the Ministry of Capital Project Administration, MLA Rest House, Non-Relief and Rehabilitation Department was looking after the maintenance of hospital, housing and roads of Bhopal. This work will now be looked after by the Public Works Department. At the same time, the Forest Department will handle the parks supervised by the Capital Project Administration. The officers working in this will be merged in Public Works Department and Forest Department.
 
The same cabinet has approved 20 percent instead of 10 percent dividend to forest committees. The department had proposed 10 per cent. Along with this, the formation of forest committees will now be done by gram sabhas. There will be no interference of the Forest Department in this. In the meeting, approval has been given to MP Power Management Company to purchase 600 MW power from the proposed Okareshwar reservoir and 950 MW from the solar power park of Chhatarpur.
