Seeing the box, Lord Vishnu smiled. it was seen that goddess Lakshmi was shocked that there were rice particles in the mouth of the ants locked in the box. Vishnu ji gave beautiful responses - When you put the ants in the box and apologize to them, then a rice particle from your Tilak had fallen into the box and the ants got their food.
