This is India's most affordable EV, to launch tomorrow

On September 28, Tata Motors will formally introduce the Tiago EV, its third electric vehicle, in India. The Tiago hatchback, which now offers ICE and CNG versions, will join the Tigor EV as India's second vehicle to also be available in an electric form. The Tiago EV will also be equipped with technologies like cruise mode and one-pedal drive technology, which will let drivers choose to use hard regenerative braking to keep the battery pack's charge while moving. Additionally, multi-mode regen functionality is anticipated.

The cost of the ICE and CNG versions of the Tata Tiago ranges from 5.40 lakh to 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tiago EV will undoubtedly cost more than the CNG models. Tata would probably keep the costs below the 10 lakh threshold, though.
