During an interview with Miday, Queen actress was given a hypothetical situation and asked if 20 years down the line, her child tells her he wants to be an actor/director, would she help him. Kanhana repliedthat if she helps him, the possibility of him turning a good director will reduce to only 50 per cent adding that if she truly cares, she'll let him pave his own path. She said, , “If I do that, the possibility of him being a good director will be 50 per cent. If I really care for him as a mother, I will let him find his own way, because he can make a good living out of anything, anywhere.”

She went on to add, “But if I want him to be an extraordinary person, I must throw him into the sea. He will either drown or make it.
