Shah Rukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar Don and Don 2 which were released in 2006 and 2011 respectively, turned out to be massive box office hits.Now, the buzz has it that the film might go on floors by the end of 2019 or early 2020.
According to source, Farhan and Shah Rukh had been looking for a suitable story to take the franchise forward, and now, they have zeroed in on one. The developing of the script will take a few months. In the meantime, Farhan will shoot for his sports drama, Toofan, while SRK will be busy with the Indian Premier League. Source further added that " they are planning to take the film on floors by year-end or early 2020. Like Don 2 (2011), a chunk of the third edition will be shot in Malaysia and the team has already applied for a subsidy for the shoot,
Both Don and Don 2 were co-produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani and starred Priyanka Chopra as the female lead. However, neither Shah Rukh nor Farhan have made any official announcement regarding Don 3.
