Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood said that his team would prefer to 'avoid collision' with Indian captain Virat Kohli during the batting, as they do their best to do so. Hazlewood and his teammates will be in front of the fast bowler Kohli-led Indian team if the upcoming tour of Australia is organized as per schedule. Talking about Kohli bowling, Hazlewood said in the Star Sports show 'Cricket Connected', "We will definitely try to avoid any confrontation. I think it became completely clear during the last Test series in 2018."

Hazlewood said, "I think he likes to get into fights in any way, because it probably gives him the best performance, especially when he is batting. So it is not appropriate for the bowlers to get into fights at all during this time. '' According to Hazlewood, when Kohli is on the field with the team, the plan is not the same. He said, "I think if our players are batting and they are in the field then the matter is different."

Hazlewood also said that Cheteshwar Pujara is a player who makes the bowler tired with his batting. He said, "Pujara makes you tired and makes a lot of work for his wicket, he really values his wicket and we saw this last time in Australia." Australian limited-overs captain Aaron Finch recently praised Kohli. The Indian team will tour Australia for four Tests and will start with the first Test in Brisbane from December 3. The team also has to play a Day-Night Test match in Adelaide from 11 to 15 December, whose commitment has been made by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly. The team will play the next two Tests in Melbourne (26–30 December) and Sydney (3–7 January).
