Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is one of the renowned singers. He is a Pakistani singer best known for his Qawwali, a type of Sufi devotional music. He is Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s nephew, Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan’s son, and Fateh Ali Khan’s grandson. He also sings ghazals and other light songs in addition to Qawwali.  

Rahat loved music from an early age and started singing with his uncle and father when he was only three. His uncle Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan had been training him in singing Qawwali since he was seven years old. He started singing only at the age of 7. In 2003, he gave his voice in the song 'Laagi Tujhse Man Ki Lagan' in the film 'Paap'. He won million of hearts from his first song.Not only Bollywood, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has also worked for Hollywood films.

Rahat Ali Khan gave music to the Hollywood film 'Dead Man Walking'. The singer also worked on the sound track of the film 'Four Feathers' in 2002. In the 2006 film 'Apocalypso', Rahat also gave voice in the soundtrack. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also played judge in many television shows. He judged the singing reality show Chhote Ustaad along with Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam. Also played the role of a judge in 'Junoon' in the year 2008.

His life also remained surrounded by controversies. Once Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was badly stuck at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Airport. Here Rahat was stopped when about 1.25 lakh dollars cash was received from him. It was told that he did not give information about foreign exchange during the immigration check.
