Dehradun: After uttarakhand BJP, now AAP has also registered its presence on the fast-growing micro-blogging platform 'Koo'. From several senior leaders of the state, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, former CMs Harish Rawat, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Colonel (R) Ajay Kothiyal to state BJP president Madan Kaushik and senior Congress leader Pradeep Tamta are also following on this platform. Both 'Koo' and Twitter are micro-blogging platforms. While Twitter was introduced in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone and Evan Williams, the foundation of 'Koo' was laid by two Indians, Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawat, in 2019 and was presented in March 2020. In the Mann Ki Baat programme too, PM Narendra Modi had greeted Radhakrishna and Mayank in August 2020, referring to this platform. Being an Indian, the number of followers on 'Koo' is increasing at a fast pace.

In view of the increasing number of users on this platform amid the same corona virus and election commission restrictions, political parties have also created their accounts in it and posts are also being put in it continuously. Recently, AAP has also entered on this platform. While Uttarakhand BJP has the highest number of followers as a party on this platform, Harish Rawat is personally far ahead of his rivals Pushkar Singh Dhami and AAP's Colonel Kothiyal.
