New Delhi: India has reported 2,34,281 new cases of corona and 893 deaths in the last 24 hours. There is also a piece of good news that 3,52,784 people have managed to overcome the disease. At the same time, the country has seen a major improvement in the statistics of active cases. The number of active cases in the country has now reached 18,84,937. A day ago, the number was over 20 million. The Indian Council of Medical Research has said that 16,15,993 samples were tested for corona infection in the country on Saturday.

So far, 4,10,92,522 cases of corona have been reported in the same country, out of which 3,87,13,494 patients have recovered and 4,94,091 patients have died. A total of 72,73,90,698 samples have been tested so far. At present, the daily positivity rate is 14.50% and the weekly positivity rate is 16.40%. The current rate of recovery in India is 94.21%. At the same time, the vaccination drive is also going on throughout the country against corona infection. So far, more than 165.70 crore vaccine doses have been administered to individuals. 

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that so far 75 per cent of the eligible persons in India have received both doses of the corona vaccine. At the same time, 8,338 new cases of corona infection were reported in the last 24 hours in UP, after which the total number of cases increased to 20,25,245. The death toll in the state has risen to 23,164 after the death of 25 more persons. According to a bulletin issued by the UP government on Saturday, Lucknow has the highest number of 1,705 new cases. According to the bulletin, 59,601 patients are undergoing treatment for the infection in the state while 19,22,480 people have recovered from the infection.
