Turns out, cottage cheese, or paneer in Hindi, makes a great snack option for people with type 2 diabetes. The good thing is that cottage cheese is low in carbs but high in protein, which can help lower blood sugar.

According to a study, men who consumed 25 grams of cottage cheese with 50 grams of sugar found their blood sugar levels had reduced by 38 per cent afterward, compared to those who ate sugar alone.
