Most people like to walk on cold spots during the summer season. Keral Munnar is also a very beautiful hill station. Here in the summer season the view becomes very beautiful. To visit Munnar, many tourists come from India and abroad every year. Along with the natural scenes, Munnar is also in discussion because of a special flower blooming here.

Once in 12 years, flowers of Nilakurinji bloom in Munnar. Due to which all the nature appear blue. These flowers look like a distant sight like someone has laid a blue sheet. The special thing about these flowers is that they bloom only once in 12 years. These flowers are known as Nilakurinji. Apart from this, people call it Blue Mountain. There are 46 species of Nilakurinji in India which is the highest in Munnar.

This time again, in the Western Ghats Shola Forest of Kerala, again 12 years later, the flowers of Nilakurinji are bloomed. The flowers fall on the ground after blooming and they take 12 years to become the flower again. These flowers bloom in the beginning of July and for the next 3 months the hills here become blue. Tourists from countries and abroad are coming to see the summer holidays and looking at the beautiful looking flowers.
