The Corona epidemic has already caused panic across the country, while the Bangalore Traffic Police has decided to increase the stringency in traffic rules to reduce road accidents. It is being said that the Bangalore Traffic Police will investigate two-wheeler vehicles and the traffic police will impose fines on vehicles found without rearview mirrors and inductors. The traffic police have announced a fine of Rs 500 on these vehicles.

The same traffic police further informed that by applying this rule, there will be a positive behavior change among two-wheeler riders in the district. Meanwhile, Jayakumar V, a chartered account that uses a bike-sharing app, fears that it will put more emphasis on riders like him. "Most of the bikes that I get on rent these days have no rear-view mirrors in those vehicles. The police have already fined me twice, but the bike-sharing app I used did not refund the amount". He suggested that the traffic police should fix the bike-sharing aggregator instead of the user.

Also according to a media report, it was said that motorists either failed to use the rear-view mirror or to immediately switch on the inductor before taking turns. A study recently analyzing the accident in Bengaluru has shown that non-adherence to traffic rules with caution while driving is the main cause of road accidents.
