Srinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects in Srinagar. Meanwhile, Amit Shah said, "Today I have come to urge the youth of Kashmir, who held stones in your hand, what good did they do to you? What good did those do to you who put weapons in your hand ?

Shah said Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) is close to you, ask the people there whether there is electricity, hospital, medical college being built in the village. Does drinking water available in the village? Is there a toilet for women? Nothing has happened there and these people talk about Pakistan. Amit Shah further said that today 30,000 people have democratically become representatives of the people of Kashmir. He called upon the youth of Kashmir to participate in democratic processes and become people's representatives at many levels.

The Home Minister said that Sufism came to India through the Middle East and Kashmir. Kashmir has gifted Sufism to the entire country and have great hope for growth. He also said that more than 20,000 people have been given government jobs here and 6,000 people are going to get jobs today. All these recruitments have been made in a transparent manner. People with the right skills have been hired without nepotism.
