Mother Teresa was the saint who dedicated her life for the welfare of the poor and needy people. In 1948, she moved to slums to begin her work of serving the poor and sick. She founded many charity organizations which include Missionary of Charity Brothers, the contemplative branch of sisters in 1976, etc. She has received a number of awards and distinctions, including the Pope John XXIII Peace Prize and the Nehru Prize for her promotion of international peace and understanding Balzan Prize and other such prizes. On the occasion death anniversary, we bring you few inspiring facts about her.
