Dehradun: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi is addressing a rally in Dehradun in view of Uttarakhand assembly elections and said that CDS Rawat Ji died in a helicopter crash a few days ago and I pay homage to his wife and the deceased of that incident. When I was young, I was studying in Doon school and stayed here for two or three years and you gave me love at that time.

 

 

Rahul Gandhi further said that my family is closely associated with Uttarakhand and when grandmother was martyred for the country and I remembered again on May 21, the day my father died for this country. The relationship of sacrifice is mine and yours. The sacrifice which was given by thousands of families of Uttarakhand, the same sacrifice has been given by my family also. Before the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand today, the first major rally of Congress is being held at Parade Ground in Dehradun and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is addressing Vijay Samman rally at Parade Ground.

Congress state unit president Ganesh Godial warmly welcomed Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi reached the parade ground and paid floral tributes to CDS General Bipin Rawat and then felicitated the ex-servicemen with souvenirs.
