Lucknow: Implementing measures to prevent infection in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections amid the third wave of corona epidemic is proving to be a tough task for the Election Commission. Thousands of workers gathered at the SP headquarters in Lucknow on Friday even after the ban. The occasion was the induction of six rebel BJP MLAs including Swami Prasad Maurya, Dharam Singh Saini into the SP.

All these leaders had quit the BJP recently and today the SP has joined. A virtual rally was organised by the party on the occasion. There was a lot of enthusiasm among party workers and supporters over the virtual rally. However, there has been a lot of activity in Lucknow since this morning. Supporters had started gathering at Swami Prasad Maurya's residence since morning. Drums and drums were ringing. It was with this enthusiasm that supporters and activists gathered at the SP headquarters.

Swami Prasad Maurya arrives on stage amidst a crowd of thousands of supporters. He was accompanied by Akhilesh Yadav and MLA who left the BJP. All of them suppressed the SP today. Ahead of the press conference, Swami Prasad Maurya said the BJP has misled the people of the country and the state. They have been exploited.
