Lucknow: Former Shia Waqf Board chairman Jitendra Narayan Tyagi (formerly named Waseem Rizvi) has lodged a complaint about him receiving death threats from Pakistan and Dubai. He sent a letter of this complaint to CM Yogi Adityanath on June 11, 2022 (Saturday). According to the complaint, the man who threatened himself has identified himself as the brother of terrorist Iqbal Kaskar.
Jitendra Narayan Tyagi wrote in his complaint, "By about 11:30 pm on the night of June 10, 2022, I received a call from Dubai's number +97 1569781862 through WhatsApp calling on my mobile phone. In this, the caller described himself as the brother of terrorist Iqbal Kaskar. He threatened to kill me by slitting my throat within 3 days. So, an FIR should be lodged in the name of Iqbal Kaskar for threatening me.''
In the complaint, Tyagi further wrote, "After keeping some facts and evidence regarding Islam, fundamentalists all over the world threatening me through the constant WhatsApp calling to kill me and hide the truth and to cut off the punishment for speaking anything prescribed under Islam" Many such calls have also come from Pakistan's number on my mobile. Iqbal Kaskar, whose name has been taken by the threatening person, is the brother of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Iqbal has been sent to jail by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case in February 2022. Some of his associates are also accused in this case.
