Chattisgarh: Three jawans injured due to pressure bomb, search operation continues in entire area

Three security personnel were badly injured after a pressure bomb planted by Naxalites near the Kirandul police station area in the Naxal-affected Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh. One jawan has also suffered serious injuries in this incident, two other injured jawans have suffered normal injuries. However, the three injured soldiers have been sent to the capital Raipur with the help of helicopters for treatment, where they have been admitted to the Ramakrishna Hospital.

According to the information received from local sources, on Tuesday morning, a joint party of soldiers from Kirandul police station went towards the jungles of Gangalur police station area of Bijapur district across the Bailadila hill for searching. DRG and STF personnel were involved in this party. At the same time, Jawan Alku Ram Farki of District Reserve Force Dantewada, Parasuram and Mangan Markam of STF have been badly injured in the incident.

Meanwhile, while walking on the footpath, the foot of a jawan was lying on the pressure ID planted by the Naxalites and got blasted. Due to which two other jawans were also caught in it. Two DRG personnel and one STF jawan were injured in this incident. After the incident, the injured soldiers were immediately sent via helicopter to Raipur, where all three injured soldiers are being treated at Ramakrishna Hospital.

The operation is still going on at the time. Security forces have seized weapons and daily use materials dumped by Naxalites at three to four places here.
