Three NCC girl cadets from JK NCC scale Mount Everest

For the first time, 3 girl trainee of NCC from Jammu and Kashmir directorate have scaled the world's highest peak Mount Everest.

Udhampur-based defence spokesman Col S D Goswami said, "Three NCC girl cadets of NCC Directorate from Jammu and Kashmir have made the state proud by scaling the Mount Everest. They were part of the first-ever all girls Mount Everest expedition of the NCC which scaled the summit on May 22".

He added, "All the three girls hail from Leh and are students of Class XII government higher Secondary School, Leh".

Stanzlin Laskit, Tashi Laskit and Tsering Angmo scaled the 8,848-metre peak.

From last two years, the trainees were working hard and were selected after a very rigorous training and selection process.
