Shimla: Three new ministers in the Jairam government took the oath of office as ministers on Thursday in a simple ceremony at Raj Bhavan. Governor Bandaru Dattatreya administered the oath of office to the three. MLA Sukhram Chaudhary of the first Paonta Sahib was sworn in. After that MLA Rakesh Pathania of Nurpur and MLA Rajendra Garg from Ghumarwin were sworn in as ministers. Rooms have been allotted to the newly appointed ministers. Rakesh Pathania will sit in Pathania E-321, Sukhram Chaudhary G-21, and Rajendra Garg E-212.
The oath-taking ceremony of the Raj Bhavan was a webcast in Peterhoff. Ministers have been welcomed with the slogan of Zindabad in Peterhoff. At a press conference in Peterhoff, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said in his statement that there is a possibility of changing the portfolios of ministers. It will be decided soon. He further said that 11 ministers are of my interest. Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said in his statement that this time the monsoon session will be delayed. Newly appointed minister Rakesh Pathania said that whichever department will be available, he will do a magnificent job. After that, the meeting of the Cabinet started in Peterhoff. Three newly appointed ministers also attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, 79 Corona positive cases have come up in the state on Wednesday. These include Solan 26, Mandi 7, Shimla 10, Kinnaur 3, Kangra 14, Una 3, Hamirpur 2, Kullu 9, and Sirmaur 5 cases. The total number of corona infected in the state has reached 2406. There are 1045 active cases. 1323 patients have recovered. On Wednesday, 98 patients have recovered. So far 12 have died. 15 have gone out of state.
