Bokaro, Police arrested three youths in connection with the killing of a 15-year-old girl who was strangulated last evening in her home in Bokaro district.

According to the Superintendent of Police, Y S Ramesh, "the girl, Soni, the niece of one Mansukh Sultania, was alone at home in Chas Patel Nagar when the three youths entered with the intention to loot last evening".

The convict youth, identified as Ashish Pathak, who was the son of her house-owner, along with two accomplices Abhilash Banerjee and Golu Karmakar, strangulated her to death when the teenager resisted their move, he added.

The crime was confessed by the accused as well as three mobile phones, a motorcycle, two rings of gold, silver chain tops and Rs.22,000 in cash was recovered from them.
