Islamabad: With the Lok Sabha elections in India just a few weeks away and tensions between India and Pakistan at all-time high, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the shadow of war was still hovering over his country and PM Modi could go for another 'misadventure' like that of Balakot Airstrikes.
Khan asserted that till the general elections are over in India, the tensions between the two countries will remain high. As per source report, Mr Khan as saying as "The danger is not over, the situation will remain tense till forthcoming general elections in India. We are already prepared to avert any aggression from India,". Meanwhile, Imran has cancelled his scheduled meeting with the Taliban in Islamabad after Afghanistan government expressed concerns. However, reports suggest that Talibani representatives could not arrive in Islamabad as the US and the United Nations have imposed sanctions on them.

Here it is to be noted that the relations between India and Pakistan have come under strains after the February 14 Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives. India had responded by carrying out air strikes across the Line of Control targeting terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed camps. The next day Pakistan had made an unsuccessful attempt to intrude the Indian air space. The Indian Air Force acted swiftly and foiled their bid and even shot down an F-16 fighter jet. An Indian MiG-21 Bison had also crashed and Indian pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan was captured by the Pakistani forces. Abhinandan returned within 60 hours, buckling under immense international pressure owning to Indian diplomacy.
