'Tim Cook' wishes India 'Happy Diwali'; Shares a Photo

Tim Cook CEO of Apple has wished happiness and peace to all on the eve of this Diwali. This is the first occasion when CEO of one of the world’s biggest company has wished on an Indian festival.

Tim Cook took twitter to wish everyone and also shared a photograph on the occasion on Diwali. Photograph shared by Tim Cook was clicked by Delhi based photographer 'Prashanth Viswanathan' who works as a freelance photographer. This is a very big move from Tim Cook and is certainly considering the fact that Apple is looking at India as potentially very big market.

This is not the first time when Tim has tried to woo Indian audience as he also thanked crowd who waited in line to buy latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It was seen that all over the country hundreds of people were standing in line just before the launch of the phone to get their hands on the next big thing from Apple. Tim in an effort to thank the audience tweeted 'Shukriya India' which is a hindi word for 'Thank you India' and appreciated the reception people gave to the latest variant of iPhone.

Apple launched iPhone on October 7th and since then they have been very well received in India. With Chinese market softening, India is a very big market for Apple which is also started by the fact that there has been a surge of 50% in India over past one year. This is one of the few bright spot for Apple as its annual sales and profit is declining for the first time in 15 years.
