Same as last year, the public have been given time from 6 am to 7 am and from 7 pm to 8 pm as time slots in TN for celebrating on streets foe Diwali.TN government on Saturday stated time slots for bursting firecrackers across the state. Various steps are been taken by Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB), in creating awareness of the harmful effects of crackers on environment and health. Crackers that create less noise and less pollution are advised by the board for the public.
TN CM appeals states to lift ban on crackers
As a community in an open space, for bursting crackers, people should get prior permission from the local bodies through residents’ associations. Some norms have been given by TNPCB on what all should be avoided by the public people. Bursting crackers by the people must avoided near hospitals, places of worship, places where silence has to be maintained. Chance of places getting a fire accident like near slum settlements must be avoided. Air quality seven days before and after the festival in areas under the Corporation limits are strictly studied by the board.
