After the tight schedule of work, it is very important to get a good nap, as it will help us to stay lively and fresh. Proper sleep directly increases the efficiency of a person while doing office and housework but according to the study, every one person in five-person is suffering from a sleeping disorder.

Despite working for 9 to 10 hours a day, some people find it difficult to get sleep at night. If you are also suffering from sleeping disorder then follow these tips to get proper sleep. Better sleep results in a better life.

Proper eating habits: Don't go to bed hungry or stuffed. In particular, avoid heavy or large meals within a couple of hours of bedtime. Discomfort might keep you up. Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol deserve caution, too and even though alcohol might make you feel sleepy at first it can disrupt sleep later in the night.

Create a better environment: Keep your room cool, dark and quiet. Exposure to light in the evenings might make it more challenging to fall asleep. Avoid prolonged use of light-emitting screens just before bedtime. Consider using room-darkening shades, earplugs, a fan or other devices to create an environment that suits your needs.

Include physical activity in your daily routine: Regular physical activity can promote better sleep. However, avoid being active too close to bedtime. Yoga or exercise is also very effective. Spending time outside every day might be helpful, too.

Don’t take your worries with you in bed: Try to resolve your worries or concerns before bedtime. Jot down what's on your mind and then set it aside for tomorrow. Stress management might help. Start with the basics, such as getting organized, setting priorities and delegating tasks. Meditation also can ease anxiety.

Bedtime Talks and other sleeping rituals: When you were a child and your mother read you a story and tucked you into bed every night, this comforting ritual helped you to sleep properly. Even in adulthood, a set of bedtime rituals can have a similar effect. Drink a glass of warm milk. Take a bath or listen to calming music to unwind before bed.
