Anaemia is often seen in women, about 50 percent of India's women suffer from anaemia. Anaemia is a disease in which the level of haemoglobin in the blood decreases. Due to this, excessive bleeding occurs during periods, excessive fatigue is felt and there is intense pain in different parts of the body. Talking about Torpa block, 70 km from Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, 85 percent of the women here were anaemic. After some time, health activists working in this tribal area came up with an idea and asked the people living here to cook in iron embroidery. Advised 2 thousand families of the area to cook in iron pan and iron vessel. Within just 6 months of this step, the hemoglobin level of these families increased.

It is worth noting that due to this change, women in the area say that their body pain has decreased, fatigue also seems to be reduced, knee pain has also reduced and menstrual problems are reduced. Has also improved significantly. Not only this, women claim that their gastric problems have improved and many women have become mothers for the second time after this change.

In view of the improvement in the problem of anaemia due to cooking in iron vessel, now the NGO wants to take this initiative to other districts also. In the last few years, the use of iron utensils for cooking iron cookware has increased. This trend is returning not only in villages but also in cities. Iron utensils are manufactured specially in the village of Tenkasi in Tamil Nadu where iron products have been manufactured for the last 300 years. Cooking in an iron vessel not only eliminates the problem of anaemia but it also takes 15 percent less time to cook in an iron vessel than other utensils.
