Dehradun: Tirath Singh Rawat has resigned as Uttarakhand chief minister. With this, the political turmoil in Uttarakhand has come to an end for the past several days. The state is going to get a new CM once again. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is going to hold a crucial meeting of the Legislature Party at 3 pm in this regard. The meeting is likely to announce the new CM of Uttarakhand.

The BJP Legislature Party meeting has been convened in Dehradun at 3 pm following the resignation of CM Rawat. This meeting will be held at the party headquarters. BJP media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said the meeting will be led by Uttarakhand BJP president Madan Kaushik. All MLAs have been asked to be present in the meeting. The party has directed that all BJP MLAs from the state be present in Dehradun. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has been appointed as the observer for the legislature party meeting.

Tirath Singh Rawat, who became the CM of Uttarakhand in March, has been in office for just four months. Now the state is going to welcome its new CM again. There are two or three names who are in the race for the next chief minister. It is being said that Rajput or Singh could be the next CM from the caste. The names of Satpal Singh and Dhansingh Rawat are underway. However, this is not the first time that the names of both have come up for the CM post. Their names have been discussed in the past, but at that time the party high command thought it appropriate to give others a chance.
