April 25, 2016: A four member family, involving a minor girl, were killed on the spot when a container lorry smashed into their roadside hut at Puduchattiram, about 15 km from here early today, as per police said.

They said, “the accident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the hut where the inmates were sleeping”

The driver run off the spot and a search was on to pinch him. The lorry was happening to Chennai from this town.

According to the police, “those killed included a man,50 nad his 18-year-old son, another man aged 25 and a two year-old girl”
