Kolkata: Assembly elections will be held in West Bengal in the coming year i.e. March-April of 2021. The Trinamool Congress has already suffered a major setback. These days, senior leader and minister Suvendu Adhikari, who is angry with the leadership of the party, has resigned as chairman of Hooghly River Bridge Commissioners on Thursday. According to the information received, soon after his resignation, party MP Kalyan Banerjee has been appointed to this post.

The talks between the ruling Trinamool Congress and their minister Suvendu Adhikari in West Bengal were held on Monday but no result was found. There were likely to be more meetings in this matter soon, but now it seems that it is too late. Suvendu is now away from the party. Now he is not even seen in the state cabinet meetings. He was the Minister of Transport, Irrigation and Water Resources in Mamata Banerjee's government.

Not only this but he has many supporters and his supporters call him Dada. Many banners have been written so far, 'We are behind Dada'. It is now being said that Suvendu can leave the Trinamool and join the BJP before the assembly elections.
