Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today, on Sunday, said, "The results of Tripura municipal body elections have exposed the "hollowness" of Trinamool Congress claims to have entered the north-eastern state and the people of the state have faith in the BJP. In fact, BJP national vice president Dilip Ghosh spoke to reporters today. During the talks, Trinamool workers campaigning in Tripura were described as "surrogate people", and said there was a "strong relationship" between the BJP and the people of the state.

He also said, "Trinamool cannot open its account in Tripura unless the BJP decides to field candidates from any seat. He further said, "The results of the civic body elections have come as expected. Trinamool has no hope of opening an account in Tripura. They only made a noise. The decision shows that the surrogate people from West Bengal cannot help a party in a state that trusts the BJP to form its base. ''

In Tripura, 12 out of 15 seats in The Ambasa Municipal Body have won BJP. TMC-CPM got only 1-1 seat. BJP has already won 112 of the 334 seats in Tripura unopposed.
