Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee's party Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee has come out with an absurd statement. He said the BJP people are shouting 'Jai Shri Ram' slogan and committing rape. He said, 'Why do the BJP people not appear to be performing with black flags against the accused pandits of rape? This is because these pundits belong to these people's party. These people are shouting saffron cloak and Jai Shri Ram and committing acts like rape and vandalism.'

Attacking senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Kalyan Banerjee said the biggest BJP agent in Bengal is Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. He will not allow the Congress alliance with the Left to be properly aligned as he is the BJP's biggest agent. Attacking Arjun Singh, Kalyan Banerjee said he is the Supari killer.

This is not the first time Kalyan Banerjee has made such an objectionable statement. Recently, he also made derogatory remarks against Goddess Sita, after which several organisations had registered a case against him. In the viral video, Kalyan Banerjee was found saying, "Sita told Lord Rama that it was good that I was kidnapped by Ravan and not by any "disciples", otherwise my fate would be like Hathras."
