New Delhi: Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee and PM Narendra Modi, who have been making strong statements against each other continuously since the Bengal assembly elections, are now dissolving the sweetness of mangoes. In fact, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has sent mangoes to PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other leaders. This is being called the mango politics of the TMC supremo.

Mamata Banerjee has sent famous Snow Sagar, Laxman Bhog and Malda mangoes of Bengal to politicians. Mamata started this tradition 10 years ago in 2011 when she first became the CM of Bengal. Apart from Modi and Shah, Mamata has also sent mangoes to President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress Working President Sonia Gandhi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Last year Narendra Modi spoke about his relationship with Mamata Banerjee in an interview to Akshay Kumar. He said that "Mamata and I are electoral competitors, but we have a very good relationship. Didi herself chooses a kurta for me and sends it every year. She knows that I like Bengali sweets and that is why she sends me sweets."
