Since Ranbir Kapoor is finalized to portray the role of Sanjay Dutt in his biopic, the speculations to play Suniel Dutt's role in film were on high buzz. The film which is made by Rajkumar Hirani and directed Sanjay Dutt has finalized Akshaye Khanna for the role.
Akshaye currently shooting for film with Sridevi titled Mom, in which Nawazuddin Siddiqui will also play the pivotal role. The film is helmed under Boney Kapoor's production house.
Akshaye when speaking to tabloid said, “Once I was in front of the camera, I felt like I was able to breathe again, there was a sense of belonging,“ and he to make his comeback was waiting for right film.
“I wanted to test the waters before taking on bigger roles. I had to earn my stripes again, after being away for four years. I had to start from scratch like any newcomer,“ Akshaye added.
Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma too will be seen in the film to which the team start to shoot from 2017.
