In a recent incident, a girl jumped off a moving auto-rickshaw in a bid to save herself from a molestation attempt by the driver. The driver, who was allegedly in an intoxicated state, was brutally thrashed by the public present in the area. To be noted that the girl was admitted in a nearby hospital while the driver was taken into custody by police. This incident was reported in the Lucknow, where agitated mob catch the auto driver and beaten brutally and handed over to police.

It is to be noted that a video of the incident shows the public kicking, punching, slapping, and thrashing the driver while policemen struggle to save him from the agitated mob. Here it is to be noted that in this incident girl admitted into the hospital for injury treatment and accused is taken into custody.

However, Avnishwar Chand Srivastava, Circle Officer, Gomti Nagar said  that "The driver was drunk and did something wrong with the girl, subsequently she alighted from the auto and during this she sustained injuries. Just to be noted that the public caught hold of the driver and thrashed him,". He added that "The driver and those who have beaten him were brought to the police station while the girl has been sent to the hospital for the treatment. Further action is being taken,".

However, Girls admitted into the hospital for injury treatment and victim is taken into the police custody. To be noted that still further investigation in this issue is going on.
