New Delhi: India has taken a big step to help the people of Afghanistan. India will deliver 50,000 metric tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan via Pakistan today i.e. on Tuesday. This consignment of wheat will be flagged off by Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of happiness among the people of Afghan. During this, an Afghan citizen who came to India has told that, 'We have come from Afghanistan ... I am very happy.' The World Food Program (WFP) has already helped about 7 million Afghan people.

According to the information, according to the talks with Pakistan, this consignment of food grains will reach Afghanistan via Pakistan via the Attari-Wagah land border. India had sent a proposal to Islamabad on October 7, 2021, requesting transit facility to send 50,000 tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan via Pakistan by road, to which it received a reply on November 24, 2021. On the basis of the reply received from Pakistan, both the sides together decided everything related to the transport.

Let us tell you that as part of its humanitarian efforts, India has sent a large quantity of life saving medicines and all other essential items to Afghanistan in the last few months. Let us inform that the last consignment of medicines has reached Afghanistan only on Saturday, which was the fifth consignment of goods being sent from India to Afghanistan.
