Today itself, he will also make political bets to secure the BJP fort in Ruhelkhand and Awadh. Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone of the country's longest expressin shahjahanpur today i.e. Let me tell all of you that today people from all the four districts of Bareilly Division will participate in the foundation stone laying ceremony and besides the people of Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi and Sitapur of Lucknow Division adjoining Shahjahanpur will witness the foundation stone of Ganga Expressway.

You all must know that Bareilly Division and Awadh in Ruhelkhand are strong strongholds of the BJP. In the 2017 assembly elections, BJP had won 23 assembly seats in Bareilly, Pilibhit, Badaun and Shahjahanpur in Bareilly division. With this, Samajwadi Party could win Jalalabad in Shahjahanpur and Sahaswan seat in Badaun. A similar story is about Lakhimpur, Sitapur and Hardoi in Awadh. Bjp is occupying 22 out of 25 seats in all the three districts.

In Sitapur, BSP candidates had managed to win the SP and Sidhauli seats in Mahmudabad. Moreover, in Hardoi, only Hardoi seat went to SP while BJP had won all the eight seats in Lakhimpur. In view of all this, the BJP faces the challenge of keeping its stronghold safe. It is now believed that PM Modi may make political bets to stop the dispersal of votes in Ruhelkhand and Awadh on the Ganga Expressway.
