Revolt Intellicorp Electric Two Wheeler is going to be launched in India today. It is the new company in the electric two-wheeler space owned by Rahul Sharma, who also owns the Micromax mobile phone company. Revolt says his new electric vehicle is a smart motorcycle, as it will be connected and equipped with AI. Also, it will come with embedded 4G LTE SIM. ARAI tests Revolt EV for regular batteries to certify motorcycle road usage in India. Once fully charged, it can travel more than 150 km.
Looking at the future of connected vehicles in India, Revolt says it is the first electric vehicle that will come with a host of connectivity features, not just equipped with The A.I. The bike features cloud connectivity, geo-fencing, remote diagnostics, and over-the-air updates and much more. The product will use a lithium-ion battery pack that can also be replaced. The top speed of the bike will be 85kmph. While battery and electric motors will be imported, the battery management system and electronic control unit will be designed in house. The company says the performance of the Revolt Electric motorcycle will be similar to that of the existing 125 cc motorcycle.
Manesar has the manufacturing facility of Revolt Motors and has the capacity to manufacture 1.2 lakh units of electric motorcycles in the first phase, nearly double the entire electric two-wheeler market. The Revolt EV will clash with the Ather 450 and the upcoming Tork T6X. The company can keep its estimated price of around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.3 lakh.
