Lucknow: The first toilet for transgenders in Uttar Pradesh is going to open in Varanasi, the constituency of PM Narendra Modi. Former Indian women's basketball team captain Prashant Singh and former Olympian Rahul Singh have made their debut. Talking to the press, Prashant Singh said, "After a lot of discussions, we have decided to build toilets for transgenders. "

He said a survey will be conducted on the 29th of August on the national sports day. The Varanasi Sports Federation will participate in the project in a big way. Rahul Singh said, first it will be taken into account as to how the maximum number of transgenders can avail of this facility. Only then will the proposed site of the toilet be determined.

Construction of these toilets will start from October 2. The country's Supreme Court had in 2014 ordered the construction of separate toilets for transgenders. So far, such toilets have been constructed in Mesuru, Bhopal, and Nagpur. Now, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh is going to have a similar toilet, which is PM Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency.
