The budget of Tokyo Olympics 2020 is expected to be around 12.6 billion dollars (about 90 thousand crores). While presenting the final budget of the Olympics, the organizers said that the overall budget has increased due to measures to avoid the heat.

Officials admitted that the budget for these events has not been included in this budget due to Sapporo hosting marathon and walking, as there is a dispute with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to bear its cost. Due to this controversy, the budget of these events has not been revealed. Domestic sponsorship and ticket sales have increased by 30 billion yen (about 19.5 billion rupees). Along with this, there has been an increase in the budget of traffic and security system, which includes measures to deal with heat. An emergency budget of around 27 billion yen (about 17.5 billion rupees) has also been kept, which will be to deal with the natural disaster.

The organizers have made several plans to protect against heat and humidity, including water spraying and heat-resistant paint on the roads. Earlier, Los Angeles announced a budget of $ 6.9 billion (about 50 thousand crore rupees) for the 2028 Olympics, promising to organize successful low-cost games. The budget of Paris Olympics 2024 is 7.6 billion dollars (about 75 thousand crores).
