The 88-member first batch of the Indian contingent arrived in Tokyo on Sunday morning for the Games, which begin on July 23, with the aim of doing something at the Olympics. The same first batch consists of 88 members, including 54 players, as well as paramedics and representatives of the Indian Olympic Association. Earlier on Saturday night, Sports Minister Anurag Thakur bid a formal farewell to the Indian contingent at Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi with a cheer, applause, and congratulatory messages.
