Tokyo: The ongoing Olympics in Ja Pan's capital Tokyo witnessed a different scene on Monday (July 26, 2021), when 2 of the 3 winning players who stood up to take medals on the podium were only 13 and one was 16 years old. In the skateboarding event, gold and bronze medals were won by Japan's Momiji Nishiya and Nakayama, while Brazil's Resa Lil won the silver medal.

Skateboard is among the four sports that have been included in this year's Tokyo Olympics. The games will now be played at the Regular Olympics. The women's skateboarding event saw the dominance of host Japan. However, more than Japan's performance in the game, the discussion was about the age of medal winners. Japan's Momiji Nishiya clinched the gold medal at the new skateboarding event. Tell me, Nishiya is only 13 years and 330 days old.

Nishiya, a resident of Osaka, Japan, won a silver medal at the World Championships in Rome this year, but it was as a result of her hard work that she finally won a gold medal at the Mahakumbh of the Games today. Bronze medallist Funa Nakayama is also a resident of Japan. On 16-year-old Nakayama winning a bronze medal, Nishiya said she was happy that her country's player had won a medal with her.
