Haryana's strength was seen at the Tokyo Olympics today i.e. Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya has made it to the final of the Tokyo Olympics. He defeated Kazakhstan's Sanayav Nurislam in the 57 kg semi-finals. Ravi Dahiya has also secured the fourth medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics. He will now go ahead with the intention of winning a gold medal in the final.

Ravi's father Rakesh Kumar could not proceed to wrestle due to the lack of strong financial conditions, but he wants to see his son perform golden for the country at the international level. Ravi fulfilled his father's dream on Wednesday. Rakesh himself used to wrestle and move forward but went on farming for the past. Ravi, a native of Nahari village in Sonepat, was taken by his father to saint Hansraj Wrestler of the village. In the village arena, he started teaching Ravi wrestling tricks. After some time, at the age of ten, Ravi was sent to Chhatrasal. He won a silver medal at the Junior Wrestling World Championships in 2015.

He was also ruled out of the competition after reaching the semifinals of the Senior National Games in 2017 due to the same knee injury. After some time, he got fit and started practicing again. He won a silver medal at the World Wrestling Championships in 2018 and a bronze medal at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships. Now Ravi's father Rakesh has also fielded his younger son Pankaj in wrestling. They want Pankaj to make a name for himself like Ravi. He said that he works very hard in the fields to take the two sons forward in wrestling.
