Lucknow: The toll tax on Purvanchal Expressway has started from today i.e. May 1. Like the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, there will be a 25 per cent discount in toll tax on the Purvanchal Expressway. Yes, there will be a total of 13 toll plazas, including two main toll plazas from Lucknow to Ghazipur. There will be 11 small toll plazas at the middle entry/exit point on the expressway. At the same time, let us also inform you that the toll rates (with a discount of 25 per cent) have been fixed for the year 2022-23 for different trains from Lucknow to Ghazipur on the Purvanchal expressway. At the same time, the toll rates will be Rs 675 for cars, jeeps, vans or light motor vehicles, Rs 1065 for light commercial vehicles, light goods vehicles or minibuses, and Rs 2145 for buses or trucks. Apart from this, oversized vehicles i.e. vehicles with 7 or more wheels will have to pay a toll tax of Rs 4185. In fact, Chief Executive Officer Avnish Kumar Awasthi has told me about this.

He said that the agency selected for the operation of toll plazas on the Purvanchal expressway, toll collection has received approval from the Council of Ministers. Apart from this, he also informed that there will also be 6 ambulances and 12 patrolling vehicles along with necessary personnel at different places on the toll plaza. He has further informed that the State Government will ensure the safety of vehicles and passengers along with getting revenue from toll collection and also get immediate medical facilities if required.

It is the longest expressway of the state with a length of 341 km. Yes and it will start from Chandsarai in Lucknow and end in Haidaria village of Ghazipur. Yes, and after the construction of the Purvanchal Expressway, eastern Uttar Pradesh will be directly connected to the national Delhi and Lucknow, due to which the people of Purvanchal, as well as the people of Bihar, will have a lot of convenience in travelling. Purvanchal Expressway will connect 9 districts of Uttar Pradesh namely Lucknow, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau and Ghazipur. It is to be known that in July 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation of the Purvanchal Expressway.
