Big Boss
Bigg Boss continues to top the charts for its controversies and bold content. On the other hand, Colors TV shows have a format in which celebrities should be kept together in a house isolated from the outside world. In this scenario, it is clear that tempers move at high speeds, and so there are romantic sparks among the contestants. Abusive language, romance,  violence, drama and all other emotions are seen in this show. The host 'Salman Khan' will have to intervene or reprimand the contestants for their inappropriate behaviour. One season of the show had to shift to its late-night slot instead of its usual 9 pm.

Jodha Akbar
Jodha Akbar, as the name suggests, is a TV show about the Mughal Emperor Akbar and his mysterious Hindu wife, Jodha. Rajput groups claimed about the historical inaccuracy, claiming that Jodha Bai was not Akbar's wife but his daughter-in-law. Producer 'Ekta Kapoor' had to put in a long disclaimer that the show is based on fictional content.

Bade Acche Lagte Hai
Ekta Kapoor's show on Sony Entertainment Television was based on the concept of love after marriage. The show shocked the audience when Ram (Ram Kapoor) and Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) did some intimate scenes. It showed quite a bold scene and even a lip-lock between the lead pair which went viral on TV and the internet.

Laut Aao Trisha
Life OK serial Laut Aao Trisha was a series serial about the search for the truth of a missing girl and her parents. The serial dealt with many aspects, which can be considered very sensitive for the Indian audience which included homosexuality, incest, abuse and other such issues. It starred 'Nalini Negi' Bhagyashree Patwardhan, and Jai Kalarasho later had to be turned into a crime thriller series following a change in format due to its controversial theme.

Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke
The show on Zee TV, a lip-lock scene was shown in the footsteps of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and between the pair of Mayank (Ankit Gera) and Gunjan (Roopal Tyagi). Their love-making scene also went viral and gave the serial a twist that otherwise focused on the experiences of the youth and how it shaped their lives and personalities.

Bani Ishq Da Kalma
Controversy over the show began when its title was announced. It was originally titled Gurbani, meaning sacred creations of Sikh Gurus. The title had to be changed to Bani before the serial aired. In addition, the show depicts the abandonment of wives and fraudulent marriages for financial gain. It also showed physical and emotional abuse by the husband. Shefali Sharma, Neha Bagga, Gaurav Chaudhary, and Adi Mahajan were in the lead role.
