Major cryptocurrencies were trading in the green early on June 25, as the global crypto market capitililsation increased by 2% in the previous 24 hours to USD954.90 billion. During the period, the total crypto market volume increased by 4.04 percent to USD64.51 billion.
The total volume in DeFi was USD6.97 billion, accounting for 10.81 percent of the total 24-hour volume in the crypto market. The total volume of all stable coins was USD56.72 billion, accounting for 87.93% of the crypto market's 24-hour volume.
Bitcoin was hovering around Rs 17 lakh, with a 42.52 percent dominance. According to CoinMarketCap data, this represents a 0.47 percent decrease from the previous day.
In other news, the GST officers committee has recommended that the GST Council postpone a decision on the taxability of cryptocurrency and other virtual digital assets.
In its report to the GST Council, the Fitment Committee suggested that a cryptocurrency regulation law is awaited, and that it would be necessary to identify all relevant supplies associated with the crypto-ecosystem, regardless of whether they are goods or services.
